Honestly? Both — but Wembanyama is the reason those two things overlapped.
The Thunder didn’t suddenly forget how to play basketball in the last few minutes. They just ran into a 7’4” problem that erased shots, rushed decisions, and made every drive feel like a bad idea. Late game, OKC looked unsure… because Wemby was everywhere.
So yes, the Thunder struggled to close — but mostly because Wembanyama turned crunch time into a no-fly zone.
